Paws for Payton

Donation protected
As most of you know, Cameron & Ashley recently purchased their dream home. It has been less than a month since they moved in and this week they experienced something that no one should ever have to endure. Ashley arrived home from work only to find that their home had been burglarized.

Unfortunately, that’s not even the worst part. She then discovered their dog, Payton, had been beaten with a golf club. After evaluation and a lengthy surgery, the vet found that Payton had also been shot five times. As a result of this trauma, he lost a toe, tooth and now has numerous stitches, not to mention, a long road of healing and recovery ahead of him.

Whoever did this horrific act intended to kill. Can you imagine Ashley walking in and finding Payton in this type of condition?!? Our hearts are breaking just thinking about it! Their other animals were at home as well hiding in fear for their life. Payton fought the hardest fight he has ever fought defending his home and furry friends! And fortunately, he won the fight!

From this misfortune, there is good news: the vet is confident that Payton will make a full recovery and the other animals survived too! We know that he has a long road ahead of him recovering from the physical damage as well as the emotional damage that has been done. In addition to the worries of Payton’s health and recovery, we know that this was extremely traumatic for everyone.

Thank God, the rest of the family is physically okay, but we know that it will take time to heal emotionally. SO many of YOU have asked how you can help and what you can do for Cameron & Ashley. We cannot think of a better way to bless them than trying to help with something so close to their hearts…their pets!

As any of you with animals can imagine, the vet bills will begin to pile up quickly and that should be the last thing they need to worry about during this difficult time. Cam and Ashley would do anything to ensure that their pets are well taken care of, but at the same time, they would never ask anyone to help them with vet bills. We would love to bless and love on them in a way that allows them to be free of burdensome distractions and focus on healing from this awful experience.

“People will know how large your soul is by how you treat a dog.”
We are all blessed to know the large souls of Cameron and Ashley. Let’s come together to help them during this time of need!

“When life gives you something that makes you feel afraid, that’s when life gives you a chance to be brave.”
Thank you for being brave!
