Paws for Houston Humane

Hurricane Harvey devastated Houston and the Houston metro in late August this year. While millions have already been raised through the Red Cross and many other organizations, we wanted to raise money for the animals affected by the flooding.

The campaign began on our soon-to-be 1-year-old Siberian Husky's Instagram account, @bambamhuskypup. With over 5,000 followers, my girlfriend Lyzette Aguilar and I shared a post of Bam Bam where every LIKE and COMMENT on that picture would result in us donating $1 to the Houston Humane Society. That post currently has 438 likes and 28 comments, equaling $466. Tens of thousands of families and their pets have been displaced from their homes due to the catastrophic flooding, and we, like you, wanted to help in any way possible.

Lyzette and I initially set our goal for the fundraiser at $1,000, but we're upping the ante. We hope to raise $10,000 with 100% of the proceeds going toward animal shelters in Houston that need our help. With your help of sharing and contributing to this GoFundMe page, we believe our goal of $10K can be reached in a week or two.

We both currently live in Indianapolis, Indiana. Once the funds are raised, we will be hand delivering the final checks to animal shelters in Houston in October.

We can't do this without you. Houston can't do this without all of us.

Thank you!

Much love,
The Bam Bam Fam
