Autism Assistance dog for Raiden

Our son, Raiden, will be 5 in August.  He was been living with Autism since he was 18 months old.  At this time he became nonverbal and all communication was lost.  He now has a communication level of a 6 month old but excells in other areas. He runs and plays appropriately, feeds himself, laughs, works puzzles better than mommay and daddy, and loves kisses. He was recently also diagnosed with ADHD. Raiden is the most amazing little boy you could ever meet but unfortunately he faces new chalenges everyday with the simpliest of task. Overstimulization is a big downfall for our family.  We are unable to take Raiden to the grocery store, wal-mart, the mall, out to dinner, and even some public parks. We are turning to this site in hopes to raise money for a Service dog for our son. The dog will be a fully certified service dog with all the proper training to accomadate to Raidens needs. The dog will help prevent Raiden from running away from us in public areas (around strange people, large populations, areas with traffic, and even from escaping our home), recognizing when he is becoming overly stimulated to be able to calm him appropriately so he can function normally in any situation, and also serves to protect him from any harm.  Having Raiden a new best friend and service dog would allow all of to live a simi normal life and be able to do activities such as grocery shopping with our son, taking him to chuckie cheese, walks in the park, and birthday parties for his friends. We were so quick to take advantage of these things before Autism entered our lives and we would love to be able to experience these things once again with our child involved. His dog would make all of this possible for us.  However, service dogs are very expensive and we would greatly appreciate the help. Raiden can have his dog in as little as 6 months but full payment must be met to be able to bring his dog home. We want to thank everyone who is able to help us out with provididng the very best life possible for Raiden!
