Pauline's Cancer Treatment

Pauline's cancer journey began in December 2015 when a large tumor was removed and she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of sarcoma - pleomorphic liposarcoma. For the next 9 months, Pauline underwent chemotherapy, radiation and an additional surgery. By October 2016, Pauline began to recover her energy and was excited about moving on with her life as a cancer survivor.
However, this past April 2017, the cancer returned. CT scans showed the cancer spread to her liver. Today (August 2017), the tumor has significantly grown and now there are 3 additional tumors on her liver despite 2 different chemotherapies administered. Doctors at MD Anderson have been wonderful trying to find a treatment that will help Pauline fight this cancer. She will be starting a new chemotheraphy treatment next week in hopes that it will help shrink the tumors so they can discuss the possibility of surgically removing the part of the liver impacted by the cancer.
Pauline continues to stay optimistic and determined to move on with her life with family and friends. The financial help she is seeking will help provide funds for medical expenses (monthly medical insurance payments, deductibles, medications, etc.) while she is unable to work while going through the multiple treatments.
Pauline and her family are so grateful to all the people who are reading her story and sending their prayers and supportive thoughts for her recovery.
