Paulie's Service Dog Training

We are hoping to raise some of the cost of Paulie's service dog training with My Canine Companion so he can assist our son Joshua who is Autistic. Joshua is preverbal, he has some words to communicate but not enough to understand him all the time. He is totally unaware of the dangers around him. Doing simple tasks like going out for a walk are extremely difficult. Paulie was sent to us at 12 weeks old and they have bonded amazingly. He will now leave us for 16 weeks and complete his intensive service dog training so he can help change Joshua's life. As well as keeping him safe, he also provides emotional support for Joshua especially if he is having a really tough day. Paulie will actively seek out Joshua and stay near in case he needs him. As a family we have never been out for a sit down meal, something so many families take for granted. We are hoping with Paulie qualified we will eventually be able to do just that. It's all the small things that will make all the difference to the quality of Joshua's life. The end goal for us is for him to live a happy and independent life.
