Paula's Intestinal Insolvency

Hello, my name is Jayde Hargis,Paula Burke is my mother. She and her family are financially struggling since her hospitalization.
In May, Paula's intestines became twisted. She had an immediate surgery to undo this, but in the process her intestines began to leak. She went septic and after another emergency surgery, had a drain tube put in place to pull off the waste from the formed fistula on her intestines. She's been in and out of the hospital since May of 2017 and has been unable to work.
She recently had another surgery to fix the fistula but it appears that another one has formed. She is in severe pain and has lost almost a year of her life, and missed almost a year of her kids' lives, Josie (age 7) and Jake (age 6).
If the new leak doesn't repair itself soon, Paula may need to have a G-Tube or J-Tube put in and another surgery, of which her body may not be able to handle. The cold-sweat worry about finances has not aided her healing experience and if anything, is probably making it worse.
Her husband, Mike, a local Wichita firefighter, can only hold up the family finances so much, but Paula's missing income has set the family behind 4 months on almost all their bills, paying what they can here and there to keep the bill collectors happy.
We don't enjoy asking for financial help, but it has come to a tipping point. Any size of donation could greatly help us out. We will use the money raised from this project to catch back up on mortgage payments, utility bills, and ultimately Hospital bills when this is all over and done with.
