After years of battling Bilateral Meniere’s disease since 2008, 4 surgeries, crippling vertigo, and extensive hearing loss, Paula Sweeney became a candidate for the delicate surgery of the Cochlear Implant. It has helped with the vertigo but continued work with an Audiologist and ENT is a process.
Next came her annual mammogram that showed a suspicious spot which was determined to be Micro Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Breast cancer! A double mastectomy with reconstruction began. 4 surgeries later, a staph infection, lymphedema in both arms, drainage tubes with wound vac, incisions that did not heal properly, excess skin and scar tissue removal with 22 staples on each side from front to back, and implants that were not a good fit to her chest wall, her unpleasant journey continues.
Mounting medical copay's, time off of work with no pay, transmission blown on her vehicle, and the on-going health struggles has put financial stress on this loving family.
Paula is a caregiver for children with special needs and adults with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She has graciously helped so many!!
In lieu of a benefit we started this Go Fund Me page. Any amount will be appreciated. Let us show her our love and support by helping her to ease the financial stress so she can focus on her health.
