Thank you for taking the time to visit our page!

We are running the Dublin Marathon on 28th October 2018 in support of Epilepsy Action NI and Action MS NI as recently both of these conditions have impacted the lives of members of our family and we want to contribute what we can to help both these fantastic charities continue to raise awareness and provide support to those who rely on them.
Epilepsy affects the lives of about 20,000 people living in Northern Ireland. It can start at any age and there are many different types. We want to raise awareness of AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation) associated epilepsy. AVM is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels. Cerebral AVM's are very rare, occurring in only about 1% of the population and the cause is unknown.
MS attacks the nervous system disrupting communication between the brain and the nerves in the body. The cause is unknown and whilst some symptoms can be relieved with medication, there is no cure. MS currently affects about 4,500 people in NI, one of the highest rates in the world.

By running the marathon we hope to contribute to helping these charities raise awareness, maintain and develop life changing services and continue to provide support for those living with both these conditions. Help us to help! And, see you at the finish line!!!
