Paula and Brady's family

On July 22, 2017 Brady was riding his 4 wheeler at the family's vacant lot. He impacted head first into one of the old farm buildings. Brady was air lifted to Vidant medical where he was diagnosed with severe head trauma, including a concussion and two temporal skull fractures with a hemorrhage. As a result he lost hearing in his left ear. Brady was released to go home on Monday July 24 only to return back to Vidant on July 28 with facial paralysis and a cerebral edema on the right side (fluid on the brain) due to his injuries. He was also then diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. All of these injuries take time to heal and are usually not treated in the hospital. Brady will have 6-8 weeks of outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies to ensure he makes a full recovery. Brady is self employed as a Boat hauler and is usually on the road Sunday-Thursday. Paula takes care of the day to day along with their four kids, Jered 16, Ashley 13, Hunter 12, and Landon 8. She also has a job outside of the home where she has taken a leave of absence to care for Brady. Brady and Paula both being out of work, we aren't sure how they will pay any of their household bills. (Water, power, rent, food etc.)
