Please join The Citadel Dance and Music Center in bringing a unique learning and performance opportunity to Benton Harbor, Michigan in 2020.
Citadel founder Eileen Cropley performed with Paul Taylor's company from 1966-1976, dancing in "Aureole" and other pieces alongside Taylor and Rudolph Nureyev. Next year, the Citadel Dance and Music Center will host artists from Paul Taylor American Modern Dance for a two-week residency in January. The Citadel Dance Company will perform "Aureole" at the 2020 Gala and will recognize Cropley at a reception following the performance.
As part of the residency, the Citadel will hold Master Classes with the Paul Taylor artists for dancers from studios across the region. Other activities associated with Cropley and "Auereole" will be announced in the coming months.
The mission of the Citadel Dance and Music Center is to develop the skills and character of individuals of every age and ethnicity through dance and music education and performance.
