Paul Carey Memorial Fund

" I only had 10 years with Paul but as broken hearted as I am today, in the darkest and saddest moments, I have realised how lucky I have been. We had 10 amazing years of the deepest love and partnership that I could have ever imagined. Paul made me feel supported, understood, respected and completely and utterly loved and I will carry that with me always " (Anna Carey).

Paul Carey died unexpectedly and tragically on Friday 6th November 2020, as a result of a car accident in Dubai.

He was a loving father to his gorgeous son Fionn and husband to his cherished wife Anna.  Paul and Anna are due a baby early in the New Year 2021.

Paul was a brother to his nine Carey siblings, uncle,  nephew, teammate and friend.   He was full of life, handsome,  engaging,  witty, charming,  funny and a tough but fair sportsman.  Just two weeks shy of his 42nd birthday, Paul passed away tragically as a result of a car accident in Dubai. Paul who was teaching English and Religion in Dubai was making last minute arrangements to finalise the family's permanent relocation to his beloved Patrickswell Co. Limerick.

Fionn who is 5 years of age attends school locally and will to Paul's delight, inevitably pick up a hurley to continue Paul's heritage.  Paul was passionate regarding Patrickswell from the first time he lined out for his club at underage to his captaincy of the senior team.  Paul travelled the world but he was always a "Well" man to the core. Paul, Anna and their young family were looking forward to settling  contently in Patrickswell. 

The grief and loss experienced as a result of Paul's  death is incomprehensible. Whilst we may not be able to take away the pain for Anna and Fionn at this time, we would like to take away some of their financial burden with regards to funeral expenses and stress.  

In memory of Paul , family friends wish to raise funds to ensure support for Anna, Fionn and the couples unborn baby with ongoing expenses such as creating a home, immediate living expenses and securing future educational/college costs for the couple's children. 

All donations are welcome and will be gratefully accepted to assist Pauls beautiful family who he loved dearly, whilst they navigate through their grief. Paul Memorial Fund ensure that Anna will receive all funds.
