<div>For decades, Paul Boomer Stamp has been the heartbeat of the Newfoundland music scene. So much so, that in 2025 he was awarded the MusicNL Unsung Hero of the Year Award. As the legendary drummer and rhythmic force behind artists like the Wonderful Grand Band, Private Eye, Ron Hynes, The Irish Descendants, numerous musical theatre productions by Spirit of Newfoundland, and so many television shows and albums made in Newfoundland and Labrador over the last 45 years, Boomer has had generations of us laughing in our living rooms and dancing in the aisles. With an extensive career recording and touring throughout Canada, the U.S. and abroad, Boom has touched thousands of lives, mentored other musicians, and reached an audience well beyond our shores.
