Paul and Jaime Recovery Fund

Donation protected

On Paul's 39th Birthday he was T-boned in a car accident and air lifted to a Kalamazoo hospital. His fiancé, Jaime, suffered a serious concussion with lung and rib bruising. Paul has severe head fracturing and a swelling brain. He is responsive but will have a long road to recovery.

While Paul might've always had a big head and a big mouth, he has always had an even bigger heart. He has touched people around this world with his stories, his generosity, and his desire to always cook the biggest and the best dinner for anyone who happens to come by. He has always celebrated the people in his life and this is evidenced by the network of people surrounding this globe who care for him.

One of the hardest things about living globally connected is that we can't be there for one another in the traditional sense of a village. We can't help pick up kids between schools and hospitals, we can't drop off a fresh made meal, we can't swing by to alleviate some of the day to day burdens that come from an injury of this kind.

Right now we are in the early stages of assessing the needs that Paul and Jaime will face but I'm proposing we try to raise some funds that will help their family to recover from this tragedy. I'm starting with a goal of $5k to cover some day to day family expenses for a little while. If anyone is local in the Western MI area - we can organize more traditional methods of support.
