Patty's New Wheelchair

Our friend Pat Neilsen needs a new wheelchair. In March of this year her old one was hit by a truck at a crosswalk (she was in it).  It was similar the one shown, a replacement will cost approximately $6000. A local service Company looked at the old one and apparently reported to ICBC that the problem was not caused by the accident and that the old one "was on it's last legs", even though she reports that old was working fine until then.  ICBC will not fund a replacement. 
Pat is in Rehab learning to walk with a new prosthetic leg, but without the chair she is unable to attend rehab, walk her dog, get her groceries, get to Doctor's appointments, get to the bathroom and other daily activities.

Her chair is her only means of independence.
