Patty Castillo's House Fire Fund

Donation protected
Patty Castillo is my one of my oldest and dearest friends. It saddens me to say that her apartment caught on fire August 30th at 4:00 am. Patty was able to wake the neighbors that were on property so they were all able able to get out in the knick of time, but the animals were not. Pretty heartbreaking. The building suffered significant damage leaving Patty's apartment unsalvageable. She will need to relocate pretty quickly. Thankfully she has renter's insurance, so the insurance company put her up in a hotel until she can find new housing. If you know of a place that is available for rent in the Whittier neighborhood in Mpls or close by, please let Patty know.

Red Cross was on the scene and provided some resources to help her get by. She is incredibly thankful for this, and urges you to to designate them as your chosen non-profit to donate to.

Unfortunately, the resources provided are limited and it is putting quite a burden on both her finances and time. She really needs her community to lift her up through donations and through your kind acts and words.

Here is a link to the news report about the fire for reference. http://www.startribune.com/fire-damages-south-minneapolis-apartment-building-residents-injured/442211193/#1

Please send her your positive thoughts and prayers and if you have the ability, please donate money so she can get back on her feet quickly.
