Patti’s Journey
June 2015, this journey began.
It’s been over 3 yrs now since Patti had her 1st surgery to remove a football size tumor from her abdomen, and to be diagnosed with Stage 4 Leoimyosarcoma. It is a Soft Tissue Cancer that starts in the abdomen and attaches itself to major organs and other parts of the body. At this point there are lesions ( tumors) on her Liver, Kidneys, Lung, L3 Vertebrae and Sternum.
Patti is now in Clinical Trials because traditional Chemo is not shrinking the lesions on its own.
As you all know Patti has many ups and downs on this journey, even being declared NED ( No Evidence of Disease) for 7 months, only for it to rear its ugly head again.
During the past 3 years Patti has had so much support from family and friends, like all of you reading this today. She has had amazing Fundraisers that has enabled her to get medical insurance, all the cards, letters, calls, words of encouragement, meals and most of all Prayers.
And now I am humbly coming to you all again for help.
Most all of you know Patti is a single mom, who works as a Real Estate Agent, and is blessed to work at her own pace. Most days Patti can run circles around us with her energy and faith in God.
However, this new cycle of treatment will physically take her away from work at least 2 weeks out of the month, and will most likely affect
her energy level on the days she is not in treatment. Unfortunately, the medical bills are piling up, and don’t stop. Every year it’s new deductibles, new out of pocket expenses and just daily life expenses that doesn’t stop even when she has no choice but to slow down. It’s a vicious cycle.
So many of you have text, messaged or called me asking “How can we help?” So this is why I am starting this Go Fund Me Page, so that hopefully all of us together can relieve some of her financial stress. Although Patti will continue to work as much as she can and as long as she’s able, along with our mothers monthly support, your monetary gifts of Love and continued prayers can help to relieve some of her financial burdens.
