UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who donated to the Patterson family as they recover from the fire!
Kelsey Patterson just posted the following message:
"We just closed the gofundme account and we are so overwhelmed with the amount raised by friends and strangers alike! A HUGE thank you to North Manchester Public Library for setting up this account and for organizing donations for us. We can’t say thank you enough. This money, along with the other donations, will help us rebuild our home and our lives.
We’ve realized there is nothing to be done about all that was lost so we are moving forward and are ready to start rebuilding. Demo will happen soon and we will figure it out from there. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts."
On the morning of December 19th, a fire destroyed the home of Nathan & Kelsey Patterson, in Winona Lake. Nathan and Kelsey and their son, Quill were able to escape uninjured, but they have lost all of their cars and belongings.
We will be collecting items at the North Manchester Public Library (vist www.nman.lib.in.us for hours and location) over the next couple of weeks for the family. Clothing, winter hats and gloves, coats, gift cards, diapers, toys or DVDs for Quill (age 2 ½), among other general life necessities, are all welcomed. Clothing sizes needed are: women’s pants size 4/6, women’s shirts small/medium, women’s shoes sizes 9/9.5, men’s pants 34/36, men’s shirts medium/large, men’s shoes size 12, boy’s toddler clothing size 2T (24 month pants), boy’s toddler size 8 shoes, and size 4 diapers.
If you would like to make a monetary donation, that would be greatly appreciated. Any amount will help. Thank you for helping this amazing family through such an incredibly difficult time.
