In Memory of Patsy Ryan - Dog Park Bench

Donation protected
Early on the morning of March 13, 2014, Patsy Ryan was trying to rescue her son's runaway dog. She saw the dog in the street and ran to help him. Tragically, an approaching driver did not see Patsy or the dog, and Patsy lost her life that morning.

The headline in the newspaper read, "Animal Lover Died Doing What She Loved to Do." Patsy loved all creatures, and would have done anything to help an animal (or a human) in need.

Patsy leaves so many family and friends mourning the loss of her beautiful spirit. Because Patsy loved dogs so much, we (friends of Kelly, Patsy's daughter) thought a memorial park bench at Paw Park, the Oklahoma City dog park, would be a fitting tribute to Patsy's legacy.

Visit the Paw Park website

The bench will be solid concrete with a commemorative plaque with Patsy's name and a message (we'll work with Kelly on the message). Hundreds of people every week will enjoy the sunshine and fresh air with their beloved pets, and rest on Patsy's bench while their dogs play. We believe this would make Patsy very happy.

Please contribute at whatever level you can to make this possible for Patsy's memory and her family.

*(The bench is $2500; we have to raise more than this to pay processing fees for this donation site (around 9%))
