Cancer Patient Needs Help - #PatStrong
Donation protected
Facing down cancer isn’t easy – and I’ve done it twice. Breast cancer at age 35 left me uninsurable at any price. My second cancer, leukemia, hit in 2009, with a hospital stay and being placed on a lifelong treatment regimen that costs more than $100K a year. This took my life savings and more! It’s meant working while very ill, living frugally and a lot of sacrifice.
Support from friends and community resources helped make this manageable – not easy, manageable – until now. A distracted driver destroyed the 20-year-old, well maintained, low mileage and fully paid for car I used for medical appointments and basics like getting groceries. It will take about $10K for a reliable and safe used car that won't add more financial burdens by constantly needing repairs. I’m trying to raise $8K to add to the $2K paid by the insurance settlement from the driver who hit me. Can you help with a donation? Can you help me get back on the path of recovery? You can make a real difference! Thanks for your consideration.
