Wheelchair Van for PAT

Greetings……
Our nomination for this Go Fund Me Project is Patricia McFerrin our Beta Sigma Phi sister.
Here is her story…..Pat had a normal childhood and she enjoyed skating, climbing trees, riding bikes, and all the kid stuff with her two sisters. At fourteen things changed and she lost the use of her legs. After many doctor visits and tests, a benign tumor was found on her spinal cord. She had multiple surgeries that left her a paraplegic at seventeen years old.
She went on with her life as normal as possible. Pat graduated from high school and went to college. After graduating college she went to work and later married and had two children. She was divorced after 13 years and was a single Mom on her own. Over the years Pat has developed scoliosis and now does not have much use of her shoulder.
Pat drives a wheelchair accessible van that is equipped with hand controls. So you can see her paralysis has not slowed her down. At the present time this van is in dire need of everything being repaired. The costs of maintaining this old van is so prohibiting to Pat and is keeping her home bound. Her wheelchair van needs to be replaced to keep her safe on the highways of Kansas City.
Pat McFerrin is one of the most positive, happy persons we know and she continues to think of others when she has so many problems of her own. So please if you would like to help us, her sisters in Beta Sigma Phi….please consider getting on the train with us to keep her mobile and a free spirit.
