Pat's medical recovery fund raiser

My dad... hard working, honest, loving, old fasioned red blooded American Cowboy, in need of a little help from those who have had the pleasure of getting to know him on a personal and/or professional level. Those of you that REALLY know my dad, Pat Sprague, know that he has always been one of the most hard working, genuine, outgoing, fun-loving, loyal, and caring .... do anything for you if he could, kind of man. Now he has come to challenge a very rough ride in his cowboy way of life. Although he's known for being a man of strong integrity and tough as nails, he is also a man of undeniably stubborn pride, not one to reach out for help. He has always been as solid as the anvil at his hip that he forged his life on. But now he has recently fallen into the grips of some severely bad health issues. In October diabetes finally got the best of him and took his right lower leg. Since then he has been growing stronger and was way ahead of what the doctors thought he could be with physical rehabilitation. Getting around quite well on the new prosthetic foot/leg. But for the last couple of months he has been developing problems on the other foot regardless of his change in diet, hard work and efforts to get back to a reasonably functional capacity. Now, he is back in the hospital with difficulties on the other foot/lower leg. Our hopes are high that it was treated early enough so that he won’t lose it as well. He would kick my butt if he knew that I was asking for friends and loved ones to contribute moral support, not to mention raising funds to help get through this time of need. But sometimes you just gotta let people help you when they are willing and able, especially when that time comes. My brother, Spike is there with him every day helping him with life's demands, and works full time to try and keep the boat afloat. Medical expenses, cost of living, remodeling his house so that he could get around... a lot of factors setting us all back. So, between the few of us, it’s been pretty hard for quite some time now. It would be so helpful and much appreciated if we could pull together as a collaborative effort and make this fundraiser a success and enable him to recover and get the back to the better quality of life that he deserves and has worked so hard for.
