<div>On Wednesday evening June 4th, our beloved husband and father—Patrick—suffered his second heart attack, and has been in the ICU with complications. The doctor's say he might be in heart failure.

<div>In 2020 he suffered cardiac arrest, where his heart was not beating on its own for 32 whole minutes. Once resuscitated, he received a quadruple bypass surgery and had a defibrillator put in. He is a fighter, and it was a miracle to have survived five years ago.

<div>Now, he is suffering again and we don’t have a lot of answers yet. The medical bills are intense, and any bit helps. Due to a layoff, my father lost employment just a week before this heart attack, not giving enough time to transfer health insurance to his wife's plan. Most likely, this entire hospital stay will be paid out of pocket. It is unbelievable—and surreal—that we can all be just one medical emergency away from financial crisis.

<div>I want to help raise funds for my parents (Tami and Patrick) to help pay his medical bills. Healthcare in the United States—especially a multi-day stay in an ICU and Hospital room can easily be over $100,000. We want to raise money for my family's situation so that my parents can focus on getting dad home to Bend, get the further tests and treatments he needs, and hopefully become well again.

<div>Additionally and with great heartbreak, my mother (Tami) has an incurable blood cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy herself while working full-time. We can't begin to explain the immense stress, crisis, and pressure my family is in.
