Prayers for Pat

Donation protected
Patrick is a 8 year old energetic boy. He loves to play with his dinosaurs and loves to go fishing.  Back when he was 5 he was diagnosed with verbal autism. His speech however was of poor quality and it was extremely difficult to understand him.
In December 2015 Patrick began to have seizures. He was taken to the hospital on numerous amounts of occasions. The doctors kept running tests and kept saying he may be epileptic. On January 4, 2016 we had a 6 minute long seizure. I took him back to the E.R. where i started to become upset. Why does this keep happening to my baby? He had a MRI done that very night. Once the results where in the doctor came to talk with me. I can see it on her face that something was very wrong. She pulled me out of the room so Patrick would not be able to hear our conversation. She loked right at me and began with " I am sorry but.....", I already knew it was going to be bad news......." your son has a tumor in his right frontal lobe." It hit me hard. I fell to the floor in tears. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing.
We where transfered to Christ Childrens Hospital in OakLawn, IL. The doctors ran more tests for several days. It was determind that the tumor needed to be removed. And so it was. January 12, 2016 he had his surgery. I was surrounded by all my loved ones. I couldn't of asked for a better support system.
The tumor was removed successfully and Patrick did amazing. He was such a little fighter. We stayed in the PICU for 3 days before he was released to go home.
The tumor unfortunatley grew back. With the help of his medication it has shrunk down to a pea size. Our only worry is the medication can stop working at anytime and grow back. But I am trying to stay positive!
This "adventure" as Patrick calls it, has taken a huge financial burdon on me. I lost work days with no pay (I was only there 2 months when this happend) and then lost my job. I recently moved from Illinois to Indiana to better our lives. Im working midnight shifts just to make ends meet and try to save money up as we have nothing.
Thankyou for taking the time to read our story. And thankyou in advance for your prayers!

Love Patrick and Mommy
