Since Fall of 2012, Patrick has been powering through what, to most people, would be a debilitating and demoralizing fight with brain cancer (Stage III Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma) and a daunting prognosis.
This week, we found out Patrick's war with cancer will take him into surgery on Friday, September 7. He has a new surgical team, and he will be awake while they remove the tumor to limit the damage to his speech center. Once he heals up, he is being put on one more year of a different chemo (PCV).
For those of you who made it possible for Patrick to stay in New Haven and continue his treatment for our first go around, we are forever in your debt for making the last 6 years with our son possible. There are no words to adequately express our appreciation. Once again he will need the support of his friends and family to allow him to recover without the stress of wondering how his life will be bank rolled. Let's give Patrick at least one more fighting chance...we love you all so much.
