Patrick Languzzi AML Cancer Fund

Genentech friends and family,

Patrick Languzzi, SCOS, Boston North-Hematology Franchise, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is a devastating type of blood cancer and treatments can be life-threatening. Within 48 hours of diagnosis Patrick was admitted to Mass General Hospital in Boston to begin intensive chemotherapy; he will remain hospitalized for a month and then may need to return for a bone marrow transplant. 

Patrick is a longtime member of the Genentech family. He joined the company in 2004 working in the HER2 Family as a Clinical Specialist for nearly 13 years before transitioning to the Hematology Franchise this past January.  

Deeply passionate about his customers and patients, Patrick's giving nature and genuine concern for others has also touched many of us both personally and professionally over the years. His favorite quote is, "You need talent to be good and passion to be great."

Knowing our dear friend and colleague has a long road ahead of him we wanted to offer the opportunity to provide support for Patrick and his family during this difficult time.   The HER2 and Hematology teams have joined together to help ease some of the burden for Patrick and his family.  He and his wife, Ezzy, son Patrick and two dogs, Albert and Oliver live in Maynard, MA, a suburb of Boston. The funds will be used for things like restaurant and grocery store gift card, rides to the hospital or his son's school, lawn service and snow plowing, etc. 

 Flowers and certain foods may increase the risk of infection and should not be sent to the hospital or his home, instead we ask that you please utilize the GoFundMe account if you are interested in helping the family.
