Hi my dear friends and family, I would like you to meet my beautiful momma, inside and out. She is a mother and grandmother of the best kind! She has a heart of gold and is one of the most positive people I know! Unfortunately, my mother was diagnosed with cancer of the worst kind lung cancer, 11 months ago. Over the past 11 months we have traveled back and forth to our local cancer care center, doctors upon doctors, among hours and hours spent on the phone with insurance companies, while my mother was losing all her hair, completely fatigued, all the while staying positive and hoping for a miracle! We were told that she has a very low chance of survival and as a family were preparing for the possibility of the holidays without her, as she was preparing for the ending of her life. Three weeks ago we received our miracle and our radiologist told us that 85% of the cancer was GONE and her chance of survival was great! We were elated! I have been in a haze as the great news is beyond belief and overwhelming. My mother has still not dealt with the news, as she has been preparing for the last 11 months of losing her battle and leaving this world.
This is where you come in! We have made it this far without having to ask for help from any outside sources, until now. With such great news, the bad news shadows over us with mounting medical bills, hearing aids that cost over $4000 that our insurance does not cover, and a bathroom that isn't suitable for anyone let alone a 72 year old woman fragile at most dealing with the recovery process and chemo of cancer.
