Beloved author, activist, and pioneer long-distance runner, Patricia Nell Warren lost her battle with cancer in the early hours of Saturday February, 9th in Santa Monica, CA.
Patricia exhausted all financial resources on medical treatments in her battle with cancer. She had intended to use that money to cover the publishing costs of her new book, the fourth novel in The Front Runner series that she worked tirelessly to finish just weeks prior to her passing, and for further printings of her previous works such as Harlan's Race, Billy's Boy, The Wild Man, The Beauty Queen, Lavender Locker Room, My West, and several others.
These books have helped combat the fear and loneliness of generations of people, and have also created a family of Front Runner organizations in over 20 countries and around the world.
Patricia was a pioneer in becoming a self-publisher in 1994 with the formation of Wildcat Press which will continue to operate under the loving care of her estate.
Wildcat Press needs your help to cover the cost of printing the new book in the Front Runner series and to get the publishing company that was her life’s work back on track and continue her legacy, as well as realizing her dream of bringing her novels to film and television.
Your contribution, large and small, is dearly appreciated as it will help keep these books in print and Patricia Nell Warren’s legacy alive.
