Patricia Dolan-King Fund

I am so sorry to report that our very good friend, Patricia King, experienced a medical event last Saturday, February 3rd while walking with a friend four blocks from her home in Belleair, Fl.  Trish inexplicably fell to the ground and hit her head on the pavement with no provocation or forewarning.  The fall caused her brain to shake so violently in her skull that it caused both right and left temporal brain trauma as well as multiple brain hemorrhages.  Both the brain swelling and the brain bleeds from this incident have unfortunately put her in a critical and life threatening situation.  She is on life support and in a medically induced coma as the doctors battle to save her life.  Her doctors do not know why she lost consciousness so suddenly and we have been told that the reason why now is irrelevant as the severity of the injuries she has suffered from the fall have now taken precedence.  It is clear that Trish has suffered a life altering injury with a long and undetermined recovery period.  Trish's daughter, mother, brother and sister-in-law have flown from NY to be by her side and join her son in their vigil at her bedside and in their prayers for her recovery.  Trish was transferred to a trauma hospital better suited to address her condition, however it is far from her home.  Her family must travel over an hour each way multiple times a day to confer with doctors and be by her side as they search for glimmers of hope that she will recover.  This unexpected travel as well as the bedside vigils have caused a financial hardship not to mention the astronomical medical bills that are mounting.  We are all praying for Trish's recovery.   Please tell your loved ones daily how much they mean to you as we are reminded that tomorrow is never promised.  If you are able to contribute monetarily toward the family's financial hardship, your assistance is greatly appreciated.  If you are not, please include Trish in your prayers.  Thank you.
