Dear Friends and Family,
June 16th was a day filled with excitement for Pat as that was the day she left for Texas. What began as a happy long awaited two week visit with her son has turned into an unimaginable tragedy.
Pat suffered from two strokes on June 27th and was hospitalized in Texas. At that time, all of her children traveled from Illinois and California to be by her side. She has since then suffered from third stroke on July 6th , and her stay in the hospital is indefinite.
This past week, Pat's conditions have worsened and her doctors have recommended that all of her children remain present if possible due to the seriousness of her condition. Unfortunately, expenses to have her children next to her hospital bed has become impossible. Patricia Butler has been a driving force in her neighborhood and community as well as a warm caregiver for many children over the past 25 years. She's always had an open heart and her willingness to give to others in need were endless. For those of you that know Pat knows that her door was always open with a hot plate of food waiting for you on the table . If you couldn't make it to her table, she would hand deliver it to yours. It's our turn to give back to such a strong figure in many of our lives, Suzanne, Maria, Francine, Jane, Ashley, and Andrea are in need. In order for them to remain in Texas with Pat, we ask from all family and friends to open your hearts and and help them remain where she needs them to be. Pat has taught us you can never give too little or too much, therefore any donation will show how much love and support you have for Pat and her children. On behalf of the family, Thank you all for your prayers, kind words, and calls. We ask that you continue to Pray as our God is mighty and powerful. Thank you for taking the time to read.
The funds will help support expenses for medical, travel, food, hotel, local transportation, basic needs while in Texas, and maintaining Pat's living expenses at her house until they can bring her home.
