Patricia Baker Thomson

It is with a heavy heart that we have laid Patricia Thomson to rest. Patricia “Patty” Thomson was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, teacher, and nurse. For the past year, Patty quietly struggled with complications following a heart attack. She died unexpectedly on January 4, 2023, at the age of 82.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with condolences and words of support. Many of you have asked how you can help. To those of you who still can, I humbly ask for your help today in the form of this GoFundMe.

Patricia is survived by her only son, Tim. Tim worked so hard to put together a last-minute wake and funeral in less than a week. Patricia did try to plan funeral arrangements before her passing, but the costs ended up being more than anticipated. Having to manage funeral and medical expenses while also going through the grieving process at the same time is terrible.

Tim is not someone who would ask you to donate to a GoFundMe for himself. Rather, he is the person who will do what he can to help everyone else first before himself. Truly: like mother, like son. Well... I think it’s time we as a community give back to Tim and his late mom.

Any gift you can give during this time in Patricia’s honor to help cover remaining funeral expenses would truly be a blessing and provide relief and comfort. Thank you so much for your help and for always being there with your love and kindness.
