Patience in much Adversity

This community member that we are trying to assist is very deserving. She is certified as a medical, legal, and social work translator between Spanish and English.  She works from home so that she can better care for one of her children with Down’s Syndrome.  Business has been very slow. Her other child has been in the hospital most of the last month. She was not able to work as the hospital required one parent on site 24/7.    She needs help. 

She herself has been a victim of domestic violence that has left her unable to digest food and therefore is on a permanent feeding tube. 

Although her two children are on Medicaid, she is currently unable to get assistance for her medical needs, and so not only has tremendous bills at the hospital, but also must buy the formula that is her only food source, and also the medications that she needs monthly.  I need to help her get caught up on some of her bills, and help her have a steady income going forward.

I am looking for some lump sum donations, but also for some monthly pledges so that she can know that she will have the money for her meds and formula every month.  In exchange, she will put her free time into helping me to continue to help in the community (she has already started with this).

 She also needs an orthopedic bed and a Gaymar T-pump (heat therapy) for her other child, who is having some issues with a tethered spinal cord and will need surgery in a few months.  Medicaid doesn’t cover these two items.
