What's in Idaho besides potatoes?
Well, there is this crystal that can only be found in Idaho and India.
Also... there is a great opportunity for us in Moscow, ID . Shawn has been accepted into Christ Church's ministerial training program at Greyfriars Hall. Under the oversight of Christ Church’s board of elders, Greyfriars Hall is approximately three years of rigorous study, ministry training, and biblical mentoring for men called to pastoral ministry.
During Shawn's studies, he will also be working toward completing an MA in Theology & Letters at New Saint Andrews College in town. Additionally, he has been blessed with a part-time job at Christ Church as Director of Web and Social Media.
Tara is very excited to be in a town called "the heart of the arts" as she continues to pursue growing her calligraphy business. She also thinks it will be fun to eat locally-grown mashed potatoes, learn how to pump her own gas, and drive an hour and a half to the closest Target.
Why am I reading this?
We could use your support getting out there, specifically with regards to moving costs and getting our apartment set up. While we will be supporting ourselves with jobs during Shawn's studies, moving across the country is not cheap - no matter what method (or madness) you choose.
We want to extend this opportunity to our friends and family who have the desire to help us in this way. We are so thankful for all of the friendships we have forged the past few years ( / 20+ yrs.) in New Jersey. Many of you have seen us go from dating - to engaged - to married! And this is now the next chapter in our story.
We are sad (really really sad... like heartbreakingly sad) to leave our friends and family, but we know that God has called us to this task. He has provided and we know he will continue to do so.
Lastly, and most importantly, please pray for us as we embark on this adventure. Thank you!
