Our beloved friends, Patrick Martinez and his wife, Rose Parcon, are going through a very tough time with Pat's cancer.  He posted the following to our Bishop Mac FB group on 8/20/17, "My reflection in the mirror
Blood on the thorn of a rose

Greetings......hope all is well with everyone. Gonna jump off FB for a couple minutes, but before i do i want to greet those with upcoming Birthdays and to make sure you thank the folks for having you while enjoying the merriment. And a Happy Anniversary to all that have spouses sharing in Communication Patience Respect Trust & A Whole Lotta Love. Unfortunately for my wife, can't apologize enough, i will be spending our Anniversary in isolation receiving the maximum amount of radiation medically allowed as my cancer has taken advantage of my situation. Recently my Ma died and i let my guard down allowing my cancer to hit a new league record, 98.54 from 1.76 which seems to have knocked the confidence out of my vet's eyes. Her highest numbered patient is 86.something so...... So to me that just means the sweeter the victory. So i gotta surround myself with nothing but positive energy which means avoiding everything negative which FB can be. I know because i post things about that fucking vile disgusting revolting chunk of repugnant orange carrion.....oops.
So after a couple of days of radiation i'll be in isolation for a couple weeks. I must be gonna glow like a mother fucker. Last time only took a week of confinement. But it's an aggressive fight. When i get out i will be attending my Ma's memorial in Denver on September 22. Actually Northglenn at Immaculate Heart of Mary church. You're all welcome to come celebrate her life. She was a most beautiful person. Absolutely wonderful. Love you Ma.
Oh boy, can i ramble. Verbosity personified. Love everyone. Love conquers hate. Stay Positive. But do not stay quiet. Ever. Love you all.......papu"

From Jean & Darlene;

I was chatting with Darlene Wieliczko last night and we want to do something to help Pat and Rose.  We all know how high medical bills can be, even with insurance the co-pays and deductibles can be very high. We thought when he comes back online, after his radiation confinement, how great it would be to help relieve some of the stress associated with fighting cancer.  We know how much we all love Pat- if you can contribute any amount to help a brother out- along with prayers and positive vibes- I hope we can make a real difference in helping him heal.  We all agreed what a very special group we're a part of-  I wish we could have helped others who have also faced medical challenges.  But the time is here and now, and Pat shared what high numbers he is facing down- thanks for any help you can contribute.

Sincerely,
Jean Travis Ball & Darlene MacDonald Wieliczko 8/24/17
