Pat Almand Medical & Cancer Expenses

In February 2020, after a few months of not feeling well, my mom was diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer. Shortly after, she began treatment, which included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. During this time, her doctors were happy with her progression and scans and she began to regain her energy and this continued up until late summer, when nodules were discovered on her lung. Since lung treatment differs then uterine, it was decided they would begin immunotherapy to attack the nodules. The immunotherapy was hard for her from the start, causing bad headaches, which they couldn't determine why. A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, she began running a fever, which they have determined to be a tumor fever. On December 7th, she was admitted to the hospital, and we received the news that her cancer had "exploded" and taken over her body. After 3 days, she was sent home and was placed on hospice care. 

With the new year approaching, their medical insurance will require their medical deductible be paid again, along with copays for the hospice treatment. Anyone who knows my parents knows they hate to ask for anything from anyone, so I am setting up this account privately, in hopes of raising these funds for them to ease this financial burden. 

I appreciate all of the prayers, calls, texts, messages from everyone. Please continue the prayers, especially for my dad.
