Medical Fundraiser For Pastor Carol Mereka Macharia of New Jersey.
When I first heard the words "You have breast cancer" it was like a nuclear bomb had denigrated inside me. I was no longer a spectator of the war against the disease, but had been drafted into the war.
The news of having breast cancer was enough to make my head spin especially because at the time of my diagnosis, I was under-insured.
My survivor-ship began the moment I was diagnosed. I am still here and for that I give God all the glory. Since the diagnosis, I underwent surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and the treatment still continues to date.
My Journey has been nothing short of divine intervention. I have been blessed to have an awesome circle of supporters that consist of my loving family, loving Kingdom Ambassadors Church, close friends, the Kenyan community and a stellar team of physicians.
I've chosen to embrace the pain and burn it as a fuel for every day that I challenge this disease. Conquering is sure victory for me. I have learned to turn everything over to God, all my pain and emotions because He has allowed me to go through it and His love for me is bigger than it all.
Lamentations 2:19 "Pour out your heart like water in prayer to God". This is how I hold my head up and know that one day soon my test will become my testimony to inspire others.
