Alejandro Huesca has been pastor of Iglesia El Balsamo for the past 10 years. In his journey as a pastor, he has had a great impact on the local church and community. He is a very compassionate person and has a great heart for the broken. He is always willing to stretch out a hand wherever he sees it’s needed. We believe that now is the time for us as the church and community to step up and reach out a hand to him and his family as they are facing this difficult time.
On October 17, 2017, the Huesca family was facing a very drastic change to their family. Pastor Alejandro Huesca was taken into custody by ICE. It has been three long weeks for him and his family as they are facing many hardships. He was the main and only source of income for his wife and two small children; Daneli who is 5 and Alex who is 1. Not only are they suffering emotionally to this happening, but also economically. Cecilia, his wife, is currently unable to work. She is also in the process of obtaining legal status. So therefore they have no income coming in. Although his family and attorney have not been able to stop his deportation; they have started a legal petition to hopefully bring him back as soon as possible. They are facing that there are very few possibilities that Pastor Alejandro may be able to stay in the U.S. So his family is planning for what may lay ahead, his deportation to Mexico. With this unfortunate event come a lot of legal fees, bills (including his family’s mortgage) and the expenses that will come when helping Pastor Alejandro settle in Mexico.
