Pass The Hat - M&M Hurricane Harvey

Hi Team,
I know we have all been impacted – either directly or indirectly – by Hurricane Harvey. The good news is that we are Texans and we will rebuild. The generosity of Texans has been very inspirational to people all over the country… we take care of our own.
Along that line, I wanted to follow up on an action item that was discussed on Friday at the senior lunch. We have some people in our office that have been directly affected by the flooding. I know that both Chad Collins, Ryan Armstrong, and Tom Newman have had their homes flooded. I spoke with Tom on Saturday, when the flooding began to hit The Heights where he lives, and he told me they had about 4 feet of water in their home. I asked him what he was doing to get things squared away, his response was that he got his guns and guitars high-and-dry, and then was out all morning saving people from their rooftops in his fishing boat!!
I understand that others have also been affected, maybe even within our office that I’m not aware of. David Luther knows what the needs of the individual agents are. But I think it would be a great sign of support and solidarity if we did an informal “Pass The Hat” for folks in need. We are all engaged in various ways in helping our communities, whether that be mucking out houses, donating food, giving gifts to churches/charities, etc. But I think this would be a great way for us to show some tangible support to our fellow colleagues. If you would like to give a donation (gift card or check is probably best), please either donate here or give the gift to me or to David Luther by next Friday, September 15th.
