Those of you that know Pasquale or Mr Bifulco know he is the kindest man you'll ever meet. He would do ANYTHING for anybody and has a HUGE heart of gold. He has had lasting impressions on anyone he meets including his students who always adored him and appreciated his teaching . He has a passion to teach and loves what he does!
Currently For Pasquale a lot has changed in his life since last week. Pasquale was admitted last Thursday to the ER at CMMC in Lewiston via ambulance after being found unresponsive related to a sudden seizure onset. Upon arrival Pasquale's vitals were unstable and his heart rate was fluctuating all over the place. Once stable a head CT scan was done and the results showed that Pasquale has a large mass on his brain. An MRI was also done that confirmed Pasquale and his families worst fears. He has two very large brain tumors. After a neurosurgeon consult Pasquale and his family were told the tumors were too big to irradiate all together via surgery and that a biopsy needs to be done to confirm whether the tumors are cancerous. Pasquale has since undergone brain surgery and biopsies have confirmed that he has cancer ;( During the procedure a portion of the tumors were removed only to make more room for them to grow as they are causing severe brain swelling that can start to compromise Pasquale's health even more. Currently Pasquale is recovering from the brain surgery and is in an induced coma with breathing support from a ventilator to help him breath. A lot has transpired very quickly for Pasquale and his family the last five days. At this point we are praying for a safe recovery and that when Pasquale wakes up there is no deficits from the surgery which was one of the risks . We pray that Pasquale will wake up and get ready to continue to fight this brain cancer that has flipped his life upside down. We pray for strength for him and his family as they go thru this Journey of Hope! In his future there will be lots of treatments needing to take place to continue to fight the cancer and survive . I am creating this gofundme page to help Raise money for Pasquale and his family to seek the best treatment he can get. The money raised will help him with the medical bills, traveling to the doctors and helping also support his Wife Saundra and their two children Caterina and Lorenzo during this difficult time . Pasquale is a high school teacher of 20+ years at Leavitt Area High School and is the MAIN provider for his family. Any donations will help Pasquale and his family during this very difficult time and journey. Anything will and is greatly appreciated!
