Meet the Pasillas Moraga Family...
The Pasillas Moraga Family currently resides in El Centro, CA and consists of Monica Pasillas (Mother), Martin Pasillas (Father), Maritza Pasillas (Daughter), Martin Pasillas Moraga (Oldest Son), & Juan Pasillas Moraga (Youngest Son).
Here's what happened:
June 2017: Just two months ago, Monica Pasillas (Mother), lost her left eye due to an unknown bacterial infection. Monica sought out opinions from multiple doctors all over San Diego County, looking for any alternative treatment that would allow her to keep her eye; and was left with no option beside surgery as the bacteria was moving quickly toward her brain.
Monica Pasillas does not work as her full-time job is caregiving for her daughter, Martiza Pasillas, who is wheel-chair bound from Cerebral Palsy.
Cost of eye surgery: $2,500

June 2017: Only 2 weeks after Monica's battle with an unknown bacteria that costs her eye, Martin Pasillas (Husband) suffered a tramautic knee injury leaving him unable to continue working. Martin works for a furniture delivery company, Aaron's Furniture, and is the primary earner for the Pasillas Moraga family.
Martin needed knee surgery in order to realize a full recovery. Doctors recommended roughly 6-10 months of recovery before Martin will be able to return to work.
Average price of a knee surgery: $31,124

August 2017: Maritza Pasillas, 25 years old, was born with Cerebral Palsy and has been in a wheel-chair since birth. After her mother's complications with an unknown bacteria in her left eye, the family was forced to hire a caregiver to assist Maritza during her mother's recovery and adjustment period.
Maritza wears a 'Baclofen Pump' that administers a muscle relaxant and antispastic medication that is commonly used for treatment of severe spasticity caused by injury to or certain conditions of the brain or spinal cord (Cerebral Palsy).
During her mother's absence, Maritza suffered an injury that caused complications with her Baclofen Pump. Maritza suffered seizers and other side effects consistent with overdose.
Maritza is now scheduled for a very delicate surgery at Rady's Children's Hospital in San Diego Wednesday, August 9th 2017 @ 7:30AM.

Martin Pasillas Moraga broke his left arm, collar-bone, & left-shoulder. He is scheduled for shoulder surgery in 2 weeks (Week of August 21st, 2017).
Average cost of (broken) shoulder surgery: $2,500
