Part W gender equity in design - seed fund

Part W is an action group of women working across architecture and design, infrastructure and construction and we are together campaigning for gender equality in the way in which our places and spaces are designed and built.
Our first group campaign sought to change the conversation around what leadership and notions of success look like - highlighting the way in which design awards consistently under represent the immense skill, contributions and impact of women.
Our organisation has so far been driven by hard work, energy and commitment of an incredible team of professional women working in the field.
Now, Part W needs your support to help raise funds to help us do more. This is a flexible funding target.
Funds will
1. Enable our team to deliver educational events to promote the importance of gender parity in design and the built environment, working with young people to promote social mobility and access into working in the design industry.
We are running a Gift A Seat initiative - covering the cost of a seat(s) for young people to attend design lectures, workshops and CPDs - providing access to those for whom the cost of a seat at such educational events would be a barrier to their attending.
Any additional funds will allow us to:
2. Develop a more extensive, accessible website; a digital platform to share knowledge about gender equality in the built environment
3. Record our story so far and the stories of women who have made incredible contributions to architecture, design and place making. We are working on a series of mini films that captures the knowledge uncovered in the Alternative List campaign.
The Part W team will be immensely grateful to all supporters, friends and colleagues who feel able to help us to secure a first round of funds to help us on our way.
