<div>El proyecto Yàg Bàl̈ es una marca de patinetas con origen en la comunidad zapoteca de San Pablo Güilá, Oaxaca. Nace del deseo del artista, patinador y hablante del Dìzà, la lengua de esta región, José Froylán López (Yoosef), quien quiere que existan patinetas con gráficos que ilustren la cultura y la lengua de su comunidad. Mediante sus obras y la lengua escrita, el artista plasma ritos, costumbres y palabras en las tablas para patinetas, que pueden ser usadas por un patinador de la comunidad y ver en ellas algo con lo que se identifique, o compartir y difundir un poco de la belleza de su tierra y su pueblo con cualquier persona externa a la comunidad. Es con esta visión que Yàg Bàl̈ se materializa en colaboración con otro patinador, quien no es miembro de la comunidad, pero que comparte los mismos deseos e interés por la lengua Dìzà.

<div>El proyecto ha iniciado con tres modelos. “Gàlrù›txnâ›” escrito en zapoteco de San Pablo Güilá, se traduce literalmente a “casamiento” y muestra la manera en que se vive una boda en la región. El modelo “Gàlràkrɨ̀ẍ” muestra lo que en español suele llamarse “cura de espanto”, un ritual de sanación practicado hoy en día. Finalmente, “Là’ny Rǎ Rwêd”, en español “entre ruedas”, combina el arte plástico y el digital para mostrar un símbolo muy conocido en la comunidad.

<div>Todos los gráficos son hechos completamente a mano y tienen títulos escritos en Dìzà usando un sistema de escritura que la comunidad ha logrado establecer para escribir una lengua que, por su complejidad fónica, no se puede escribir utilizando simplemente el sistema del español. De esta forma, el arte y la lengua se juntan en un instrumento de uso personal, que se puede patinar o coleccionar como la obra de arte que es.
