Parkway Little League Bunker Field Renovation

Parkway Little League is challenging its vast and proud alumni base, and community to help us build a new Bunker Field!

Parkway Little League needs to raise an additional $300K through this committed alumni network to support the rebuild of Bunker Field. The league has already received funding through a grant from the City of Boston's Community Preservation Act ($350K) and additional funding through local developers ($150K). An additional $300K is needed to complete this project which continues to have rising costs due to nationwide inflation.

It is up to the most passionate Little League alumni base to help us finish this project! Once complete, Parkway will continue its proud tradition of being the best Little League neighborhood in Massachusetts.

About Bunker Field

Bunker Field, originally built and opened in 1954 as Baker Field, is almost 70 years old. While the field certainly has its history and has been well-maintained over the years, the field is past its useful life. The drainage no longer works properly sitting below a large hill of water run-off. The dugouts, fencing and field surface are tired and worn. It is a community field that gets a lot of play and use. In addition, the field being built in the 1950s does not meet current little league specifications for tournament play.

This renovation will build a brand new field in its original footprint that will have all the modern amenities of a new neighborhood little league field.

About Parkway Little League

Parkway Little League, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 and has served the Parkway Community since 1952 by providing youth recreation opportunities through the vehicle of baseball. The league services over 700 ballplayers annually, ages 4-12, in the neighborhoods of Roslindale and West Roxbury.

The mission of Parkway Little League, Inc is to promote the game of baseball which includes Little League’s core values of Courage, Character and Loyalty to the inner-city youth of those Boston neighborhoods.
