Parkland Survivors Flight to Wisdom 2.0 Fund
Donation protected
Dear Friends:
We need your help to continue to ensure that we keep the conversation going around the country about the events that took place during and after the tragic shooting on February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
We are raising money to cover the costs of the roundtrip flights ONLY from South Florida to San Francisco, California of 4 Parkland Survivors - a parent of a Victim, a teacher whose classroom was located in the heart of the tragedy, and two students who were in the classrooms that were breached, but survived to tell their story - and their companions. Lodging has already even secured.
Our deadline to raise these funds is: January 17th
What's in San Francisco? The 10th annual Wisdom 2.0 Conference, which has been hailed as one of the most important annual gatherings of influential minds that help shape culture, technology and politics in this country. It's an honor to have been invited to attend as a panel and to be offered the platform of the Main Stage at this conference. The conference takes place from March 1st to March 3rd. For more information about the conference please visit: www.wisdom2summit.com
The panel will be interviewed in front of 3,000 individuals by Obama Foundation CEO (and former advisor to President Obama in the White House) David Simas.
100% of this fund will go towards paying their airline tickets.
If you have enough miles to donate a roundtrip ticket or would like to underwrite the cost of a ticket directly, please contact Shelly Tygielski at [email redacted]
Why do we need to raise these funds? Because contrary to what many people believe, a lot of the efforts to continue to be vocal, relevant and keep the conversation going are underwritten and funded personal by each family. These costs have gotten to be exorbitant and we would like to not burden the families with this additional cost.
Thank you for your assistance and generosity,
Shelly Tygielski & Samantha Novick
