Parkinson Fight Club is a 501 (c) (3) a non-profit organization. It is metropolitan Atlanta's only franchise of the highly respected Rock Steady Boxing. We will be implementing Rock Steady's mission which is " to empower people with Parkinson's Disease to fight back".
This will be the first full time studio in the metropolitan Atlanta area dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson's and their families.
Rock Steady now has 383 franchises around the world. Research has demonstrated that high intensity physical exercise improves the quality of life in patients with Parkinson's disease by improving their strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness.
The main focus of our gym will be non-contact boxing to benefit Parkinson's patients and their families. in addition, we plan to provide a Parkinson's Support Group that will meet several times a year as well as inviting medical professionals to provide educational seminars for our participants and their caregivers.
Your donation will allow us to help Parkinson's patients to fight back!
