Parker Ensworth's top surgery fund

Hey everyone! I'm Benny Ensworth, Parker's husband. I wanted to come forward and ask for help to fund Parker's top surgery, something he's been waiting for for years. It's finally happening soon! Unfortunately, that also means the extraordinary cost that comes alongside it. Luckily, his insurance was able to cover some of it, but we still have a lot of out of pocket costs that we just can't handle financially. When he originally got started on this whole journey it was while we were living in San Francisco, and we had no idea that we'd be living back in Washington so soon! Due to that, we have extra costs involving travel fees such as lodging, food and gas. Even making it as cheap as we possibly could, it's been a lot and we could really, really use the help. 

Parker has needed this surgery for years. I've known him for almost my entire life, and it's been apparent since high school that top surgery has been a necessary step for him. I know this is right for him because the closer we get to the surgery date, the more I see him open up. He's visibly more comfortable just knowing that he won't have to deal with his chest soon. I can't even begin to describe how incredible it is, and how emotional it makes me seeing him opening up already: how much more confident he is even before the surgery date. Knowing how much he'll be able to grow and open up without the dysphoria keeping him from completely being himself makes this even more worth it. 

He gets the surgery soon: the 25th of April. We've been able to take on some of the costs thanks to some incredible lucky breaks and wonderfully generous people, but our credit card is racking up quickly. The surgery itself costs about $3,700, and travel fees for a 2 week long stay in San Francisco (Since he has to be there for the surgery as well as the post operation appointment) is, at minimum, $4,500. We're setting the goal to $4,000 not as a requirement, but more as a hope. If we make even a quarter of that it would help us a great deal and mean the absolute world to us!
