Paralyzed best friend with broken neck

My best friend Mark  fainted at his home and Broke his neck. He had surgery, however at this time there is no movement in his upper and lower extremities. Mark is to be transferred to a rehab facility. At this time I do not know how insurance will cover the cost of long term care .  The funds could be used  immediately to help his wife Margaret with her every day expenses  rent /mortgage auto insurance, travel , and all other which are as of yet unknown. At this time I have no other way that I can help Marks family.
