#PapuStrong Support For Alex Pingoy

Dear Friends and Family,
As most of you know earlier this January, our dear Brother Alex Pingoy (‘Papu’ known by his grandchildren) was admitted into the hospital and diagnosed with the ending stage of Coronary Artery Disease.
It came as a shock to the family to hear that his heart was hardly pumping blood, and the doctor's first prognosis was that if he did not have surgery he would only have a couple months or even weeks to live. He was ordered to undergo a quadruple bypass surgery and 2 valve replacements and they were unsure if his heart would even be strong enough to withstand such a procedure.
As you can imagine this caused the Pingoy family to fall down to their knees like never before and plead for God's mercy and healing upon their beloved dad/Papu/husband. But as a true manifestation of God's extreme mercy and faithfulness, He granted miracle after miracle and heard the many prayers and pleas from family and friends. They never expected the outpouring of support from friends and families and are ever so grateful for the love and prayers from everyone of us during this past month.
Currently, brother Alex is still in the ICU and has been in the hospital for over a month. He has overcome undeniable odds and he is still fighting. After a successful surgery, he was sedated for days and put on a heart and breathing machine, then had to be opened up with 2 additional surgeries to remove blood clots. Among other complications, he has had his liver and kidneys affected and is retaining fluids in his lungs and legs and other parts of his body.
There is still a long journey ahead, each day praying for more progress, but we all know this is all only by the grace of God. The Pingoys just want more than anything for the world to know how great God is and how amazing He is!!! They cannot wait for brother Alex to share his powerful testimony of God's mercy on him to the world!
We are starting this Go Fund Me Project because the Pingoy Family is a shining example of a true Christian Family. Throughout the years, they have opened their family and home to many of us, served others and have brought Christ’s message in word and action. They are humble, loving, strong, full of love, laughter and life. With 5 children, 3 children in-laws and 8 grandchildren, Alex and Mechie have raised an incredible clan for the Lord. We have been a recipient of their love over the years and are truly grateful for this gift.
After hearing, Tito Alex was in the ICU and the gravity of his health situation, we wanted to help and we didn’t know how other than to pray. As all of you know, hospital and medical care are necessary but expensive and we can help the family defray some of the costs and even the worry of being able to handle financially. Others have expressed the same desire to help but don’t know how.
This Go Fund Me project is a way for all of us to do so and out of humility the Pingoy Family is allowing us this opportunity. We are sure whatever amount you could donate would be a blessing and help, but we know truly more than anything they just ask for your sincere prayers to our Lord for full healing over brother Alex. Melanie Pingoy, Alex and Mechie’s daughter will be the beneficiary of this campaign and will be the person to distribute funds towards Brother Alex’s needs. The Pingoy Family is a close family friend that both my husband, Mark, and I have had the blessing to grow up with. Tito Alex and his wife, Mechie, were our Couple for Christ coordinators for our youth ministry and have supported, loved and treated us like family. Rest assure, all proceeds will be going towards Brother Alex’s recovery.
