Papua New Guinea Earthquake Damage
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
On the July 17, 2020, M 7.0 Papua New Guinea earthquake occurred as a result of oblique normal faulting at an intermediate depth, approximately 80 km beneath eastern Papua New Guinea, near the northern edge of the Australia plate.
My PNG family from Buna village (along the Northen beaches) was hit hard and their homes and food crops were destroyed.
Unlike us in Australia, the villages here rely on the food they grow, and the nearest shop is hours away on the back of a truck.
PNG government is not offering the people any support or assistance in this disaster.
My family has traveled to Popondetta to be able to touch base with me and ask if I could reach out for help. The village is struggling to eat food each day.
Any donations or shares is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much.
