Papa Chiv's Cremation Service

Donation protected
Nguon Chiv was born and raised in Cambodia and is a survivor of the Cambodian Genocide that took place in the 70s. I would describe my dad as the Harriet Tubman of his time because not only did he survived, but he also helped thousands of others escape into the refugee camps. He was a man of courage and strength.

Growing up, my dad was the one that raised me while my mom worked to support the family. My dad was my role model even though back then him and I would bump heads a lot. I guess you can say that I was just like him that he would get frustrated with me often, but I was still daddy's girl. :) He taught me the values of life, how to always love and care for people, how important it is to be happy, and what it means to be a true foodie among many other things.

Sept, 26, 2017 was when I first discovered that my dad had liver cancer and about a month later at 2:54am on Oct 27, 2017 my dad went home to be with the Lord. My dad knew about the cancer for about 4 years and have kept it away from my mom and I because he did not want us to worry and wanted us to focus on living a joyful and prosperous life. He also was not able to get it treated the time he found out due to lack of insurance and by the time he had insurance the cancer caught up to him.

He is the most self-less man I know who is always putting others before himself. I know he has done so much to help others and I know he is well-loved and respected. My dad has the biggest heart in the world. He was a father figure to many, has always thought about others first, and has helped so many people in more ways than I can imagine. I am proud that have such an amazing man as a father. I know that my dad has left such an amazing impact and I strive to follow in his footsteps.

This GoFundMe page is to help raise money for my dad's cremation expense and to help my mom and I with living expenses for a couple months since my mom does not work and I took about a month off of work to care for my dad. My mom and I want to thank all of you who have been praying for us, supporting us, loving on us, and helping us as we go through this difficult season of our life.
