Pang Fai (Light) is an elderly elephant who is in desperate need of retirement.
Her owner, who loves her very much and has cared for her for the past 32 years, is also old and wanting to retire.
Pang Fai lives very local to BLES - she is literally ten minutes down the road from us! We have known her and her owner for over ten years and we are incredibly proud to be welcoming her into our family and ensuring her final years are lived out in true sanctuary.
However, we need your help to make this happen! We need to raise 12000 GBP - 16745 USD - 13541 EUROS and we need to raise it quickly!
Here in Thailand, we are about to enter our hottest and driest season. Temperatures can reach up to the mid 40's and natural fodder for the elephants to graze on becomes virtually impossible to find.
Pang Fai is almost 60 years old, which means she is on her last set of teeth. This also means the food that Pang Fai is able to eat and digest is dramatically limited.
Pang Fai's owner has expressed deep concern, as he is no longer physically able to source enough feed for her and this is why he turned to us for our help.
At BLES, we are able to supplement our elephant's diet with locally grown crops. We are also able to source locally grown fruits and we are able to shred up food, to make it easier for our elderly elephants to eat.
Pang Fai's owner is unable to do any of this for her...
Please help us, help Pang Fai! The sooner we can raise the funds needed, the sooner we can re home Pang Fai to her forever home - BLES.
